What do I need to install wood slat panels?

There's two main installation methods we recommend (screws or adhesive), both of which are detailed in the comprehensive instruction manual that is included in each box of Willow Panels.

To install the panels using screws, we recommend using black 1 1/2" drywall screws, as they will blend in and be nearly invisible against the black felt backing of the panels. Beyond that, you don't need anything more than a drill!

All-surface construction adhesive can also be used for wall installations, but is not recommended for ceiling installations.

Can I cut the panels?

Yes, absolutely. The panels are easy to cut using a jigsaw or circular saw with a standard wood blade.

Can I hang a TV from the panels?

We don't recommend hanging a TV or shelving directly from the panels, instead simply cut out a gap for the TV mount and mount it to your wall as you regularly would. From there, you can install the panels around the mount before hanging your TV from the mount.

How do I wash the panels?

Each wood slat is prefinished, so they're protected against minor splashing and can be easily wiped. The best way to wash the slats is with a well-wrung cloth or duster. If you ever want to clean the felt between the slats, simply use a vacuum!
